Imagine…

Close your eyes and mentally picture one area in your home or office that needs some organizational help. Now imagine little air molecules flooding the area. Can they flow freely around the room or are they stuck in corners, under piles of clutter, and amongst your possessions?

Now visualize your room with some breathing space. What would it look like at its best? Would it be a place where you would love to spend some time, a place that nurtures your soul?

Feng Shui is the art of arranging possessions to create balance, harmony and breathing space. Remove the clutter and maximize the positive energy in your environment. You reap the benefits of improved relationships, career opportunities, prosperity and happiness.

Are you interested in making some powerful changes in your life?

History…

Feng Shui originated over 3,000 years ago. It is based on the theory of energy flow. The Chinese believe there is a powerful interrelationship between the environment and an individual’s health and well-being.

Feng Shui literally means wind and water. The energy force – Chi – flows throughout your home and among your possessions in the same manner as air and water flow in and around you. The common-sense principles of this ancient practice are a guide to creating an environment where chi flows naturally.

Yin/Yang…

The ancient Yin/Yang symbol represents the principle of balance. Each side is complementary and a direct opposite to the other side with an element of the opposing side contained within itself. This is a representation of perfect harmony. It corresponds to the need to maintain balance in one’s life in order to create favorable circumstances to live and grow. It is important to find the yin/yang balance, the equilibrium that nurtures and makes you happy.

This sense of balance is available to you.

Purpose…

The primary reason to institute Feng Shui principles in your home is to create space for chi to circulate effortlessly. A healthy chi flows naturally, similar to air circulating amongst trees and plants or a meandering brook flowing beside a hiking trail.

Danger lurks when the movement of air is too slow or too fast. Sluggish air is suffocating and difficult to breathe. Conversely, windstorms develop when fast moving air is chaotic.  Then there is the hazard of too much or too little water. Stagnant water breeds insects and bacteria while rushing water generates floods and damage to the countryside. There is a need for stability and balance in the air we breathe and the water that surrounds us, otherwise hazardous conditions develop.

The speed of chi within your home has a similar effect.  Chi that is running too fast (straight down corridors or up a flight of stairs) may perpetuate aggression, conflict, anxiety and hypersensitivity.  However, chi that is stuck in a maze of clutter has a huge psychological effect manifested in stress, depression and a joyless life.  You feel lethargic and constantly tired.

The Yin/Yang objective is to create a natural flow of chi–life’s energy force.

Would this be a benefit to you?  Explore the possibilities.

A point to remember…

There is no place to hide clutter. Chi becomes trapped in the accumulation of overindulgence and negatively affects all aspects of your life. If you are searching for answers to your frenzied lifestyle or cannot seem to find happiness, then take the time to convert over-active and/or stagnant chi into positive energy. Feel the difference a clean and clutter-free home radiates.

Take control!

Evidence of effectiveness…

To substantiate the effectiveness of Feng Shui, sit in a room before any decluttering work has begun. Make a note of your feelings while you sit amongst the clutter and debris of overindulgence. Now start decluttering! After the room has been cleared of clutter and furniture rearranged, sit quietly and take note of your feelings of peace and contentment.

You will experience a soothing, nurturing and supportive environment when clutter has been removed and treasured items are on display. It won’t do any harm, so why not try it and see how good you feel.
