Connecting You to the Business of Organizing

NAPO

Founded in 1985, the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) is a non-profit association for professional organizers and manufacturers of organizing products.  It was established to develop and promote the organizing industry as it grew internationally. NAPO membership is not required to be a professional organizer, but certainly recommended, as this is the source for continued education and advancement of your organizing business.

Benefits of membership:

  • NAPO News – A bimonthly newsletter with information about the organizing industry, organizational techniques, current trends and upcoming events.
  • Membership Directory listing - Published annually, this valuable networking resource includes member listings and specialties, which enables NAPO members to easily locate and contact their peers.
  • Chapter and informal group opportunities - Monthly meetings provide a format for educational development, the opportunity to exchange ideas, and network with other organizers. Chapter membership is voluntary; national membership is required for chapter membership.
  • Automatic referral process – The NAPO member directory is displayed on the national website (www.NAPO.net) for exposure to potential clients looking for an organizer with a specific specialty and in a particular geographic area.
  • Public relations - NAPO actively solicits national publicity for organizing professionals, the field of organizing, and the national association.
  • Discount on annual conference – The national conference and expo is a yearly gathering of organizers from around the world to learn about the field of organizing, network with colleagues, and gain insight into the many facets of being a professional organizer.  Educational workshops, inspiring keynote speakers and a vast display of organizing products are just a few of the reasons to attend.
  • Educational opportunities – NAPO provides a comprehensive, high-quality curriculum for its members including core competency and continuing educational units.
  • Golden Circle - Formed in 1990, this prestigious distinction demonstrates to the public worldwide that our industry recognizes its members who have attained an elevated level of experience. NAPO acknowledges the expertise of its members who have been engaged in the business of organizing for no less than five years and have been a NAPO member in good standing for a minimum of one year. Membership in GOLDEN CIRCLE means fellowship, camaraderie and a golden opportunity to share experiences and network with other accomplished professional organizers.
